It was just another long and sultry evening. Inscrutable and mysterious
Night was already lurking around the nearest corner. Wandering trough the
narrow streets of Old Delhi suddenly I approached another from innumerable food
stalls, located nearby the street toilet. At the first sight there was nothing
particularly interesting in the set, however last glimpses of the sunset
illuminated the whole scene and innumerable clouds of steam were getting into
the air from the huge pan, placed on the old cart reminiscent of the country's
glorious and blurry past. Combined, it all made an extremely picturesque and
unusual effect. For a few seconds the whole buzz of the place with its
distinctive cacophony of various unidentified sounds disappeared- with glowing
sun shrouded in dancing fog. The world didn't get any better, the streets were
as cluttered as before, begging kids still haven't received save haven- even
for the first time in their already weary lives, yet something differed.
Some new hope seemed to fill the air and encompass the whole locality. Was it only the steam floating from hot pakhoras?
Wersja polska:
Dawało to niezwykły efekt.
